Hope For Paws often receives emergency calls about abandoned animals, and this story is no exception.

In a rural part of California, three Rottweilers were found left alone, hungry, and scared.

A compassionate woman made the call that would change their lives forever, urging rescuers to come to their aid.

When Joann Wiltz and Alex Babcock arrived, they immediately located the dogs, who were understandably frightened by their presence.

However, the sight of food quickly won them over, as the dogs were clearly starving.

The three Rottweilers, though scared, began to relax as they were offered food.

The rescuers knew they needed to gain the dogs’ trust before they could safely transport them to a shelter.

Joann carefully placed a leash around one of the dogs, named Gladiator, and led him to the vehicle.

The other two dogs, Spartacus and Sura, required a little more time to calm down.

With patience and gentle handling, they too warmed up to their rescuers.

The team was able to load them safely into the vehicle, and they began their journey to safety.

A New Beginning: Medical Care and Healing

Once in the shelter's care, the three dogs received the attention they so desperately needed.

Spartacus, in particular, required surgery to treat entropion, a condition that irritated his eyes.

After a medical bath, the dogs were given the proper treatment to address their health issues.

Thanks to the efforts of The Little Red Dog rescue organization, the dogs were placed in foster care while they awaited permanent homes.

A Happy Ending: New Homes for the Dogs

Although the details of their new families remain private, we can be confident that these dogs are now thriving in their forever homes, enjoying the care, love, and attention they always deserved.

This rescue story is a reminder of how compassionate people can make a difference in the lives of animals, offering them a fresh start and the opportunity to live the happy lives they deserve.
