The Unlikely Beginning

It all started on a trip when Molly noticed a dog lying motionless next to the highway.

The pit bull was sick, withdrawn, and clearly in need of help.

Instinctively, Molly stopped to assess the situation, suspecting that this poor dog had been abandoned.

Abandoned dogs are often the most heartbroken, struggling with the loss of a human connection that they deeply value.

Molly, despite already having a dog family back home in Massachusetts, couldn’t leave him behind.

She took him to the vet, where he began a long road to recovery.

However, bringing him home wasn’t an easy decision, especially since Molly's father, Wayne, was strongly opposed to the idea of fostering or adopting the dog.

But after a month of recovery, Molly knew she had to give this pittie a chance.

She brought him home, naming him Polo.

He was quickly accepted by her family, especially by Grandma Barbara and his new canine siblings, including Georgia.

The only person not on board with Polo’s adoption was her dad.

Polo’s Strategy for Winning Grandpa’s Heart

Polo was full of energy and mischief, often finding ways to entertain himself around the house.

However, despite his best efforts to impress, Wayne remained indifferent.

Undeterred, Polo decided to change tactics.

"I said that I’m gonna get a little closer to him, and oh my God, he got closer to me," Wayne recalled, marking the beginning of their bond.

From that moment on, Polo and Wayne became a duo, constantly together.
